Meet Dr Anthony Bannister, Chiropractor
Experiencing the Effects of Chiropractic Care
I’ve always loved serving people ever since I was young, and when I first experienced chiropractic as a 13-year-old, my whole perception of health shifted!”
As a young teenager who was living with significant on-and-off low back pain due to playing contact sport, Dr Anthony had tried other healthcare professionals with no answers and no success. Out of desperation, his parents eventually took him to the local chiropractor. “Within the first few adjustments, she had given me a clear answer as to why my lower back was so sore all the time and gave me a care plan that would help me return to doing the things I loved.”
Within months, Dr Anthony was feeling the best he had in years, and knew from then on that he wanted to help people like that chiropractor had helped him.

Professional Credentials and Ongoing Education
Dr Anthony graduated from RMIT University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Chiropractic). His passion for learning extends beyond his academic achievements, particularly with a strong focus on the Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT®).
Dr Anthony completed 72 hours of intensive SOT training through SOTO Australasia in Brisbane and Melbourne, mastering both the Foundational Series and the Advanced Visceral seminar. SOT is a gentle yet proven approach that addresses the functional relationship between the sacrum (base of the spine) and the occiput (base of the skull).
This technique allows him to provide precise, gentle adjustments using pelvic blocks, neurological stimuli, and cranial techniques. SOT is particularly suited for patients seeking a comfortable alternative to traditional chiropractic methods, such as manual adjustments.
Dr Anthony can incorporate SOT into all his care plans, ensuring patients experience holistic care that supports the body’s natural balance and optimises health. To offer the best care possible, he also stays current with professional development courses, such as the Denneroll Seminar 2022 and Elevate Pediatric training.
